a quiet monday night...

I wish I could have a proper vacation this summer. I usually go to Florida every summer for an undecided amount of time. This year, I have a job. Bills to pay. Responsibilities. I suppose it's worth it though since I have a car now. I HAD spare money before but everything really goes to be saved or towards my car payment now. I guess that's worth more than a 3-4 week vacation, but I still wish I could go. I'd love to go to take some stereotypical pictures of the beach, swim at my favorite spring, and go look for gators around lakes.

I did get a little mini-vacation though. I spent 4 days at a Christian music festival with my church's youth group. While it was an amazing time, the place we went wasn't that far away and we had to sleep in tents. I like my vacations far away and sleeping in a comfortable bed.

I feel like I'm almost making this summer sound bittersweet when in actuality it's been one of the best summers of my entire life. Almost every single day that I wasn't working was spent with friends. I've had countless sleepovers and I went on a few day trips. Tonight is just one of those nights where I miss the "big vacation". But honestly, I don't think I'd trade a trip to Florida in exchange for the summer I've had. And hey, it's not over yet :)
